Biography of DJ J. Ross
J. Ross began his musical career in Jr. High School when he began to learn to play the saxophone. His high school years awarded the opportunity to play in the All County Band which was a great honor for a young musician. He also became a member of The Continentals which is still going strong today playing what is now known as swing music. While performing with The Continentals, J. Ross was able to learn a lot about Big Band music and performers like Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Guy Lombardo just to name a few.
In 1988, J. Ross began his career as a disc jockey. Since 1988 he has performed at hundreds of weddings as well as private and cooperate functions. He has rubbed elbows with such artist as General Johnson and Chairman of the Board, Craig Woolard, Barbara Lewis, Bill Pinkney, Don Cherry, Clarence "Frogman" Henry, Johnny Thunder, Chuck Jackson, O. C. Smith and Tommy Sands (yes the one who was married to Nancy Sinatra).
"Being a Disc Jockey for almost 20 years has afforded me to meet people from several different walks of life and to be able to make their life better by playing the many different types of music that we all love so well."
